Since its founding as a modest soup kitchen in 1998, Boca Helping Hands (BHH) has grown into one of South Florida’s largest nonprofit service providers. With 25 staff members and over 300 volunteers, BHH supports nearly 35,000 clients annually, providing food, healthcare access, and critical resources to families in need. In 2024, BHH distributed 112,010 pantry bags from five locations in Palm Beach County and served more than 64,000 hot meals. Through its partnership with Genesis Community Health, BHH expands access to medical, dental, and behavioral care at clinics in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach. BHH also helps children and families facing food insecurity through the Backpacks Program, sending weekend meals to students at 15 local schools. The BHH Resource Center provides emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, and childcare through the Children’s Assistance Program.
